Speedpaint Massacre #27 (Favorite number): 120 minutes

Went harder on this one because it's a concept of my character Freistatte (the turtle in the icon), also my mascot. I never really posted much stuff of Freistatte, so here's some info.

Freistätte is named after the German word that means sanctuary; makes sense given that a turtle's shell is supposed to be their sacred shelter. Anyways, quick backstory:

Freistatte is the last dragon born of his kind and is prophesied as the cause of the destruction of his race due to his great power. As such, this little one was transformed into a turtle young at birth and had his powers sealed into a turtle shell. As he would grow and be taught how to use his magical powers, so too would his shell grow with him as the extension of his power. As he grows, he learns that by drawing from the mana pool inside the turtle shell, he is able to transform into different modes in order to fight against his opponents.

It is said one day, his shell would grow big enough to be donned, and at that time he would've grown responsible and capable of controlling his might. And if the shell should be donned, it would awaken his true form of a dragon, as Freistatte undertakes a rebirth of fire in the shell, shedding the magical restraints of the shell like a cocoon..

Burstfire: Yellow; long range/magic form
Sprint: Blue; speed form
Pierce: Red; attack form
